STESSL has announced the Family Bass Challenge tournament dates for next year, and instead of two series, as was the case in 2003, Stessl will run only one series in 2004.
The series will have six events at Somerset Dam, with the first tournament being held in January and the series ending in early November. With the change comes an upgrade of the senior winners prize and the addition of a sub-junior category. This means there are now three age categories anglers can enter – senior (above 16), junior (12-16) and sub-junior (below 12). Senior entry fees will increase to $80 while juniors and sub-juniors will be set at $40.
The scoring has been re-jigged also with anglers receiving 500 points for paying their nomination. With over $70,000 in prizes on offer throughout the entire series the 500 nomination points could be valuable if you have an emergency and can’t make it to one event.
The prizes on offer include a 5.2m Bass Boss package for the senior winner, 3.7m VAG Tournament package for the junior section and a $500 tackle package for the sub-juniors. For more information on the 2004 Stessl series contact Gordon Turner on 0418 877 525. – StesslReads: 372
