Hervey Bay Family Fishing Comp

THE 2003 Hervey Bay Family Fishing Competition was a roaring success with a record 870 entrants vying for hundreds of prizes valued collectively at around $60,000.

The major prize, a Quintrex Estuary Angler from Bay City Marine, was won by Max Josephson of Urangan, and Justin Fisher of Laidley won the Quintrex 385 Explorer. The Garmin GPS and sounder went to Tim Hurley of Point Vernon, and the XXXX Kelly’s icebox and tackle went to Alwyn Middlebrook of Cooloola Cove.

In the junior section, Robert Barton collected a computer package from Jack Casey Motor Centre/Harvey Norman, Savannah Palmer won the Viking Kayak, Darcy Pope got the Harvey Norman DVD player and Scott Sams won the Toy Kingdom Helicopter. – Hervey Bay Boat Club.
