SAFWAA South Australian Fresh Water Anglers Association

(South Australia Fresh Water Anglers Association) is a fun family based angling club welcoming all fisher persons regardless of experience or style. Our members fish fly, lure and bait, and as the club name would suggest, in fresh water. The club doesn't limit its self to fresh water and organizes a number of trips fishing the big blue bit between the coast and the horizon.

Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic

Rainbow Beach's relaxed and beautiful environment is the perfect place to host this popular family event. The competition captures the spirit of adventure with over a week of entertainment, fishing, boating, beach four wheel driving and family fun.
The event has four major categories - offshore, inshore beach fishing and big fish which caters to all levels of fishing experience, from professional and commercial anglers to families with kids of all ages.
The event is now held annually during Queensland's July school holidays, which has firmly established the Rainbow Beach Family Fishing Classic as a family focused event.
The 2015 event is scheduled for 3-11 July.
