Running from March 20-29, 2009 in beautiful Wallis Lake at Forster NSW, the Forster Fishing Carnival highlights the sensational fishing available in Wallis Lake with a variety of fishy activities that will bring together the best anglers in Australia and the family angler in one massive week of fun.

The site along the southern breakwall of Forster is the perfect location for the Forster Fishing Carnival. The boat harbour and boat ramp are within a few hundred metres, with great access for spectators and competitors. The facilities of the town of Forster are also within easy walking distance.

The site will consist of a large marquee holding 2000 people, complete with security, personnel and fencing. The site includes 5000 plus square metres of expo display areas.

The 2009 entry fees now cover all sections of the FFC, which includes beach, rock, estuary, bluewater, Squidgies flathead event, kayak event, bluewater light game day, snapper day and junior section.

The draw format will see prizes for the overall heaviest fish of each eligible species. All estuary competitions will be catch and release only, live weigh in. Bluewater, beach and rock sections will see all fish weighed, gilled and gutted. The snapper on plastics event on Wednesday 25th is catch and release, photo only.

There will also be at least 20 random prizes worth over $4,000 in value drawn every night at 6pm after fish of the day prizes are presented.
