Tinaroo Barra Bash
  |  First Published: December 2004

With a record number of anglers fishing the Tinaroo Barra Bash, organisers expected some great fish to be presented gilled and gutted to the weighmaster – and they weren’t disappointed.

A total of 62 fish were weighed in for a total weight of 781.5kg – that’s an average of 12.6kg or around 25 old-fashioned pounds.

The competition has been covered in more depth in Geoff Mayes’ Cairns report and in Lynton Heffer’s Port Douglas report in this issue, but here is the results table for those who are keen to fish Tinaroo in the future. – Stephen Booth
