THE MARINE & Outdoors group, which started with a single outlet just a few years ago in Tolga on the Atherton Tableland, has just opened the latest in its rapidly expanding network. The Tolga store was followed by the Gulf Marine & Outdoors store in Karumba, and owner Rick Castino is rapt about the opening of his third outlet,Coastal Marine & Outdoors on Mulgrave Roadin Cairns.

Coastal Marine & Outdoors brings an exciting concept to the Cairns retail boating market, with a one-stop shop covering a huge range of boating and associated leisure pursuits. As well as boat and outboard marine supplies, customers can get watersport, camping, fishing and refrigeration supplies at the one shop. Manager Murray Roberts has many years of experience in the Cairns recreational and commercial boat market, as well as the marine leisure industry, and knows what customers want.

A wide range of boats include the popular Blue Fin pressed alloy range, plate alloy Trailcraft boats, the twin hulled Webster's Twinfisher and pontoons by the world's number one seller, Sun Tracker. A 21-foot party barge is on the way to the showroom as I write. Sun Tracker also has the American style Bass Tracker range, available through Coastal Marine & Outdoors. For those who like their boats in fibreglass there is the ever popular Mustang range on display, and they also carry Zodiac inflatable boats. With such a huge range of boating options under the one roof, sales manager TJ Montague and salesman Tony Castens can meet customers' needs with just the right outfit.

A wide range of two- and four-stroke engines are available through the Suzuki, Bombardier (Johnson/Evinrude) and Tohatsu outboard manufacturers, allowing customers to match their boat with the ideal size and type of outboard to suit their needs. Workshop manager Luke Petryszyn will ensure that after-sales service is second to none, while spare parts manager Andrew (Bung) Barbour is in charge of finding even the most hard-to-get accessories and spare parts.

Marine Warehouse, Dunbier and BLA marine accessories are just some of the well-known brands of marine manufacturers and suppliers of boating and watersport accessories that are carried in stock. There’s also a great range of angling equipment from the likes of ABU, Diawa and Wilson, while the camping enthusiasts have Kookaburra, Waeca, EvaKool and Comos products available. A big range of rods, reels and terminal tackle is on display, along with tents, eskies, cooking gear, fridge/freezers and general camping equipment. And if customers can't find what they want on display, the team at Coastal Marine & Outdoors will find it for them.

The bulk buying power of three stores means Rick Castino can deliver very competitive prices, so drop in and check out this one stop leisure shop at 370 Mulgrave Rd, in Cairns, call them on (07) 40 331 344, or email --e-mail address hidden--
