THE RECENT 2002 Boondooma Bash was a success, with 67 anglers competing in the tournament. Over the course of the weekend 166 fish were weighed or measured, with 135 of those fish released.
After results were tallied, the Kingaroy Sportfishing Club took out the prestigious Champion Club award, while Ron Barker and Jacinda Schloss took out the Highest Point Scoring Male and Female awards respectively.
The longest fish landed on lure or fly casting tackle for the tournament was a 49cm golden perch landed by Mark Smith. The average length of the released fish was a very respectable 388mm. – QFM.
