Mercedes-Benz M-Class now better value
  |  First Published: April 2004

THE POPULAR Mercedes-Benz M-Class has built on its strengths with a number of production-based improvements to standard equipment levels.

The ML 350, which features a V6 engine with an output of 172kW, is now also equipped with an in-dash CD player. Parking and manoeuvring will be made more convenient by the PARKTRONIC system, which also forms part of the new standard equipment. The 120kW ML 270 CDI also picks up the in-dash CD player and PARKTRONIC system.

The five-litre V8 ML 500, which develops 215kW, now also comes equipped with a 6-stack CD-changer, PARKTRONIC and the very latest communications technology in the form of the Cockpit Management and Data System, known as COMAND for short. COMAND is a car radio, navigation system and CD player in one, as well as acting as the command centre for all audio, and telecommunications equipment.

PARKTRONIC and a rain sensor with variable intermittent wipe has been added to the well-equipped 255kW ML 55 AMG.

Although already very attractive, the updated model range will further boost the value appeal of the M-Class in Australia. The ML 270 CDI and ML 350 are available from $73,900 while the ML 500 and ML 55 AMG are priced from $104,500 and $140,900 respectively. For more information visit www.mercedesbenz.com.au.
