Twin Rivers Bream Classic
  |  First Published: October 2006

The 2006 Twin Rivers Bream Classic, as reported last month, was a great success and hailed by many as an event never to be missed.

With a plethora of prizes and categories available for anglers to win and compete in it was no wonder 689 anglers took part in the two day event. Unfortunately we missed one of the big winners in the write up so their stats are listed below – and they’re pretty impressive stats too!

The heaviest bag overall was won by Team 40, which consisted of Dean Gamble, Mark Cribbes, Trent Stephenson and Shane Barling. Their total team bag weighed in at an impressive 9531g for eight fish and all the fish were caught on soft plastics. Trent Stephenson was also lucky enough to catch and release a massive 1572g bream on soft plastics too and reckons it was a great way to spend a couple of days fishing.

Everyone is looking forward to next year’s event and keen to get amongst some of Victoria’s best bream fishing. – VFM
