A new barra and bass tournament has started in Queensland called Barra&Basstasstic.

It’s a low cost tournament designed to give families and experienced anglers a competitive weekend of fishing without blowing the budget. At the same time it gives anglers who want to learn how to catch bass in the cast and retrieve method a chance to learn.

The tournament is divided into two zones: northern and southern. Each zone is fished to obtain their top 16 senior anglers and includes a separate section for senior female anglers and juniors.

How much is it going to cost? All seniors pay a membership fee of $60 and get a badge with their own personal number plus a ticket in the prize give-away round. The number is theirs to keep forever; you also pay $20.00 every round you fish. $10.00 goes to the stocking groups who stock the dams that all our tournaments are held on. Juniors pay a $10.00 joining fee and $10.00 round fee for every time they fish and $5.00 goes to the stocking groups as well.

If you want to learn or just need help in cast and retrieve for bass fishing this is the tournament for you.
