If you’ve ever visited Lucinda then you’ll be well aware of Hinchinbrook Marine Cove. It’s the accommodation resort sitting right at the boat ramp in prime position for anglers keen to visit the reef, fish Hinchinbrook Channel or duck up the Herbert River to chase jacks and barra.

But what does Hinchinbrook Marine Cove offer anglers in the way of accommodation, amenities and services? Lucky you asked. They have everything you could want and more, but best of all is that they are constantly expanding their range of services and with a new management team, they are keen to help as many anglers as they keen get onto some of the mind blowing fishing the Hinchinbrook area offers.

Accommodation Options

Hinchinbrook Marine Cove is spoilt with options when it comes to accommodation.

There is a variety of modern waterfront and poolside holiday and overnight accommodation with exquisite views of Hinchinbrook Island from the tropical gardens and the resort.

If you’re travelling light then the one bedroom apartment could be the ticket for you. All one bedroom apartments are fully self contained, with air-conditioning and ceiling fans. Each unit features its own kitchenette, microwave, bar fridge and cooking utensils. These apartments are located in close proximity to the waterfront.

For family groups or a couple of mates hitting the water the two bedroom townhouses are a great option.

Twelve two bedroom townhouses are set in landscaped gardens surrounding a beautiful pool. All are two storeys with a fully self contained kitchen, laundry and living area downstairs and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. All the townhouses are air conditioned with ceiling fans and comfortably sleep four adults. They make a great place to stay for two teams of two anglers.

If you plan to eat out rather than have the drama of looking after your own meals then the motel units will appeal. Motel units are offered as ground floor and first floor rooms with panoramic views overlooking the channel to Hinchinbrook Island. All units are fully air conditioned with a bar fridge and tea/coffee facilities so you can still have a warm brew or a beer at the end of the day.

If a town house seems a little too much, then you may be interested in checking out the cabins. The resort features 11 fully self-contained, one bedroom cabins surrounding a pool with a BBQ area. All are air-conditioned, with ceiling fans and feature microwave, fridge and cooking utensils. These cabins are perfect for two people.

Facilities

Hinchinbrook Marine Cove has all the facilities you will need for an overnight stay through to a stay for months on end.

The resort has private pontoons that you can tie up to overnight or for lunch and the public boat ramp is right next door to you. There is ample vehicle and trailer parking and a fishing jetty for those who don’t own a boat and want to spend a couple of hours having a fish from the bank.

Add to this some great gas BBQ facilities and a children’s playground plus the option to hire tinnies and houseboats from the resort and it’s easy to see why Hinchinbrook Marine Cove is such a great holiday destination.
