Federal member for Wide Bay Warren Truss announced in May that the Australian Government Regional Partnership program had allocated funds of $149,160 to expand facilities at the Boondooma Dam lakeside camping facility.
The funds would help Wondai Shire Council cover contractor costs and building materials to construct an amenities block including toilets, hand basins and laundry facilities. The extended facilities will allow even more visitors to use and enjoy the lake and its surrounds.
Planning for the project is well underway with tenders already assessed. There will also be a release of 22 residential blocks overlooking the lake. These sites will have all amenities and be a great investment.
