Time flies. It seems like yesterday that Bruce Cunningham announced he was moving into his new premises at Snook St, Clontarf. During the construction process, it seemed like a massive yard that would easily hold all of his new and used stock from his much smaller digs at Margate.

Following the success of the business at the new location, Cunningham’s started bursting at the seams again, forcing Bruce to acquire neighbouring properties to house his service areas and burgeoning marine chandlery departments.

An original 6,000 square metres of retail space is now 8,500 square metres, and all of it is full of bits and pieces that will interest boaters, anglers and anyone interested in the marine industry.

A year down the track, a serious fisho or boatie will take a long time to browse through the yard and check out the options from their various franchises and the bargains available amongst their trade-ins.

A virtual laundry list of brands is available to cater for your preferences and a mix of imported and local boats make up the mix.

Tinnie lovers can trawl through the Trailcrafts, Ally Crafts, Brookers and the plate Xstreme boats. Ploycraft pundits have a large range to choose from and imported boat fanatics can choose between Glastron, Seaswirl, Cobalt and Striper. Tournament guys, however, will head straight for the Stratos, the brand made popular by the exciting AFC TV tournament fishing show.

Bruce had an epiphany when considering how he should celebrate the anniversary of his new yard. Instead of a day- or weekend-long show that may exclude customers from out of town or who are simply out boating, Bruce concluded that a month-long sales celebration would be the most fitting way to give back to his customers who have helped him become the Trailcraft and Allycraft Dealer of the Year.

In fact Allycraft went further to say that Bruce and the team had done a fantastic job in the new premises over the fiurst year in what must have been a disruptive and exciting year for Bruce.
