Lostock once again proved to be a tough location with only a few fish weighed in at the recent BASS Electric. Most anglers who did manage to find fish failed to add upgraders to their catch cards.
However the fish that were caught were good quality. Mick Pascoe set a new Lostock record when he weighed in two fish for 4kg. Paul Gogart won the Big Bass Prize with a fine 2.1kg specimen, just edging out Mick Pascoe’s 2.05kg fish.
Andrew Low took out second place. Andrew is the perfect example of the metal stamina required to be a tournament angler, with his first fish coming at 11.30am and his second on his last cast with just enough time to get back to the weigh in.
Most of the fish weighed in were caught vertical jigging to suspended fish in 20-30ft of water. - Mark Gogarty
