2013 Boondooma Dam Fishing Competition

The 2013 Boondooma Dam Fishing Competition will be held on 9-10 February. Entry costs for the February event will remain at $20 for adults and $5 for juniors aged 16 years and under.

Boondooma Dam Yellowbelly Fishing Competition spokesman John Burow says that the sponsors of the Heaviest Australian Bass and Yellowbelly in the adult section of the competition will be Wondai Accounting and Tax Services for the Heaviest Australian Bass and Lake Boondooma Kiosk the Heaviest Yellowbelly. Wondai Hardware and Trade Centre have also sponsored a trophy for the Heaviest adult section Jew.

The ongoing support of our many sponsors will ensure that a wide range of prizes and lucky draws are available for all competitors. The support of a new major sponsor, the Australian Lure and Tackle Co (Austackle) will also add value to the lucky draw prizes.

The fishing team from Austackle are also planning to run fishing clinics for interested anglers over the weekend.

Food and drinks stalls will be provided by local community groups over the weekend and the great camping facilities provided by the South Burnett Regional Council will be available for campers staying at the lake.
