Yeppoon Coast Guard Tight Lines Fishing Classic
  |  First Published: July 2012

Yeppoon Coast Guard Tight Lines Fishing Classic is to held on the 10-12 August 2010. This premier fishing and fund raising event will once again be held at Rosslyn Bay in Central Queensland (Yeppoon).

The site of the event will be on the land adjacent to the Keppel Bay Marina and all funds raised are destined for the maintenance and purchase of new equipment and facilities for the local Coast Guard flotilla QF11. All entry fees will be going towards a great cause and may help to save someone's life.

There are fish catch prizes for juniors and seniors available with over 17 species categories, including four live fish categories, for each of the three day event. There will also be final prizes for the best overall catch in each category. If last year is any indication, we can expect enthusiastic competition from the beaches, estuaries, creeks and out to sea.

Each day after the fish catch prizes are awarded, there will be a number of random draws. You don't even have to catch a fish to win a prize – just be an entrant and be there for the draw. Prizes range from TVs, Engel fridge/freezers, Suzuki outboards, accommodation vouchers and some great fishing gear.

The highlight of the event is on the final day with the last draws for two fantastic prize packages: a 4.5m Quintex Fish Seeker with 40hp Tiller Evinrude E-Tec package; and, a brand new 2012 4X4 Single Cab Isuzu D-Max (base model) with steel tray. The boat package was donated from Cooee Bay Marine and the Isuzu from Isuzu Ute Australia and Rockhampton Prestige.
