Old Man Emu Shockers

ARB claim their Old Man Emu Nitrocharger Sport shock absorbers are second to none. It’s a big claim, but these high performance shockys have earned their kudos in the tough outback conditions Australians know only too well.

The OME Nitrocharger Sport started in 2008 with enhanced valving within a twin tube standard Nitrocharger shocky incorporating extra deflective discs for precise valving. This was followed by a huge testing and refinement program involving heavy off road and lab simulation to fine tune the new shock absorber into the best possible.

The result saw the then new Nitrocharger Sport having its deflective discs separated into three individual and tuneable stacks, tuned areas of compression of the oil flow within the disc stack, and a new high flow piston for uniformity of oil flow and, most importantly, reduction of heat within a hard working unit.

Final testing of the shock absorbers was carried out on tracks out of Broken Hill where vehicle loads and speeds could be varied, and rough to extreme surfaces caused very high operating temperatures within the Nitrocharger Sport shockers. In all, a true test of longevity and performance.

After three years of engineering and development, ARB engineers confirmed their Nitrocharger Sport delivered more control, a better ride, a quicker reaction time to road surfaces than even their acclaimed Nitrochargers.

The OME Nitrocharger Sport raises the bar in 4WD shock absorbers. Precision tuned to specific vehicles and available for a substantial range, these shockys have levels of durability and performance that other makers struggle to match at their very competitive price.

It’s a big claim but ARB back it with a three year, 60,000km warranty.

The Nitrocharger Sport shock absorbers are part of the extensive ARB suspension package. Graduated coil and leaf springs and greaseable shackles and other suspension components are all available for the serious 4WD owner.
