This handy two burner unit comes in a handy carry box complete with coated BBQ plate, tongs and food lifter, plus space for two spare gas canisters.

With an overall size of 70cm long, 36cm high and 17cm deep, the U Bute is a pretty solid bit of gear. The cooking plate measures 45x22cm and is definitely large enough to knock up a feed for several people at once. The Teflon coated hot plate also has a fat retaining channel on one side. The unit is built to last and weights a total of 8kg.

Fired up by two disposable generic 220g butane gas cartridges the unit has multiple use options, including primary use as a BBQ or by removing the plate it becomes a two-burner stove for general outdoor cooking, entertaining or camping situations.

Lighting up the unit is also a simple process. Just ensuring a gas cartridge is in place, push down a lever to activate the gas flow and then turning the Piezo ignition knob with your desired flame height then selected.

I’d see a lot of use for one of these units, along with every sort of camping scenario there’s also the option of having it on hand as a back up cooker should power fail at home for any reason.
