The launch and retrieval of trailer boats has always been a difficult proposition. Operator skill, badly designed and slippery ramps combined with the pressure cooker that can be a launching logjam all combine and can result in property damage and even personal injury.
Quite a few launch/retrieve devices have come and gone from the market but one of the most enduring is the Boatcatch device designed by pro abalone diver, inventor and engineer Greg Staples.
Boatcatch was first prototyped five years ago and has developed into the current product that is a simply outstanding piece of engineering. The team at Boatcatch will be proudly displaying their system at this year’s Tinnie and tackle Show.
The benefits of the Boatcatch include a quick, hassle free and safe launch and retrieve even when operating solo. Able to be fitted to a variety of hulls including fibreglass, alloy and even multi hull vessels within a couple of hours by anyone mechanically handy, it’s amazing how simple and effective they are.
The Boatcatch is manufactured from marine grade stainless and the positive locking pin and eye bolt are the key operating parts that are easily strong enough to hold even large hulls on a steep boat ramp without fear.
To see just how easy it is to use, come and see the Boatcatch on display at our Tinnie and Tackle Show stand where our friendly team will be able to provide any further information.
Boatcatch is available in two sizes for boats over or under six metres. Visit www.boatcatch.com for more information and stockists.

Korr Lighting are proud to be showcasing their upgraded lighting system at this year’s Tinnie and Tackle Show.
The Korr boat light kit was released three years ago and has under gone several upgrades, thanks to anglers feedback. This new design has tackled the problem of momentary night blindness due to the white light.
Anglers move from spot to spot throughout the night and the white light causes the eyes to dilate, which means for a few seconds you will suffer night blindness.
Korr Lighting have come up with a great solution by incorporating blue coloured lights in their new kits. When travelling at night your eyes will adapt to the darkness a lot faster with the blue lights. Therefore, the white light is great for detailed work such as tying knots and putting on bait, and the blue light is perfect for travelling and fishing without having to wait to adjust your vision.
Drop in and test out the new upgrade and see the difference it can make to your fishing.
