  |  First Published: December 2011

On many camping or travel expeditions there can be issues with water - Will there be enough? How do I carry it? These important considerations are important if going to a remote area where not having water can be life threatening.

The trouble is that large solid water containers take up a lot of room in a vehicle. This is exactly where the Flexi Tank fits into the scheme of things, being an entirely flexible heavy duty bladder and ranging in size from 35-100L.

These ruggedly constructed units can fit virtually anywhere within a vehicle and make use of otherwise redundant space. Places such as within the rear cargo area, on the floor between rear seats and within rear quarter panels are just a few of the locations available. There are really no limits, it depends on how you pack the vehicle.

The Flexi Tank model PW5OH, is actually purpose designed to hang behind the rear seat or cargo barrier of a Toyota Hilux. It comes with a backing section to prevent chafing and special hooks to see it set up in place.

Note that the rear under floor cavity of some vehicles can also take a unit as well - the Pajero comes to mind here.

Construction and Features

Flexi Tanks are made from odourless heavy duty vinyl and are extremely strong and tear resistant, as they have to be given the weight of water in the100L unit.

The material utilised in these tanks is 100% certified as suitable for carrying potable water and without any annoying flavour being imparted to contents.

Each Flexi Tank is equipped with a hose and tap to allow easy access to contents without spillage.

All ARB stockists carry the range of Flexi Tanks and these units carry the usual quality assurance common to ARB products.
