Dartmouth Women’s Fishing Classic
  |  First Published: October 2011

This year’s Dartmouth Women’s Fishing Classic will be held on 11-12 November 2011. We are looking forward to a wonderful competition with Lake Dartmouth at 70% and the fish biting well.

The proceeds of the Auction and Major Raffle will go to Parkinson’s Victoria, a support program for people and carers of those with Parkinson’s disease. Each year we support a different charitable organisation, which is a part of our policy of giving back to the community, whilst providing a fun competitive weekend for women who love to fish.

The target fish for the competition are brown and rainbow trout, which are caught, measured using a specified fish trough, photographed and released. There are also prizes for best carp daily. We encourage junior competitors with prizes daily.

The competition is open to individuals, pairs, teams of three, and Clubs of four to six people. The major sponsor,s Masterbaiter Tackle and Fishing Shop from Benalla and Ray White Wodonga, will once again be offering some great prizes. Other supporters include Paradise Lures from Arthurs Lakes in Tasmania, Mick Smyth Constructions, Peninsular Furnishings, Lance Graeber Painting, Unthanks Real Estate, Eskdale Hotel and O’Connell’s Air Conditioning.

Visit www.dartmouth.net.au to enter online and watch our early bird booking prizes including Dartmouth Boat Hire and a Whirlpool fridge. For any more information contact Lorrae on (02) 60724263 or Robyn (02) 60724233. –FMG
