Owners of mid-sized 4WD are being especially catered for with ARB’s new Under Vehicle Protection kits to protect vital components from being damaged when travelling off the beaten track.
The extra strong series of three protection plates, which bolt together to form a continuous unit, are designed to safeguard items such as steering components, engine sump, transmission and transfer cases. Strength is paramount in this situation and the units are laser cut, press formed and folded for optimum durability, rigidity, and long service life.
The panels have been developed after considerable field testing – same as other ARB off road components – and while iron clad in operation are easily removed for vehicle servicing. ARB take the view that it is better to remove a section for servicing rather than providing large access holes to facilitate service requirements, which could impinge on the integrity of a unit with stumps, rocks and the like entering to cause mayhem.
Pressed and folded from 3mm steel, these panels are up to 56% stronger than folded steel alone so provides an optimal strength to weight ratio. Mounting bolts are recessed for protection and all panels are zinc plated plus powder coated in a silver textured finish.
The best part is that these new Under Vehicle Protection Panels specifically designed for the Colorado and Dmax are entirely compatible with other ARB products for these two vehicles so users can gain maximum advantage with their installation. Installation at an ARB outlet is expected to take around one hour.Reads: 3440
