Austackle King Of Moreton Bay
  |  First Published: June 2011

Austackle in conjunction with Sundowners Fishing Club and Capalaba Amateur Fishing Club, is proud to present the inaugural Austackle King Of Moreton Bay Team Series.

It is a catch and release tournament open to two person teams of all ages. It is targeted towards the family market rather than Tournament Pros.

Geographically, the Greater Moreton Bay area can be split into two parts: Moreton Bay itself (The Northern Bay), and the Jumpinpin-Broadwater area (The Southern Bay). There is a qualifying series of competitions in each of those areas and then the top 30 teams from each come together for a Grand Final.

Each Tournament has three species specific qualifying rounds; Round 1 Bream, Round 2 Flathead, and Round 3 Whiting.

Scores are calculated on a points basis. All fish must be photographed on an official Austackle Tournament Ruler and points are then awarded according to the length of the fish.

Entry fees are adults $40 and Juniors (16yo and under) $20 per round. There are over $20,000 in prizes and giveaways to be won with local charities reaping the profits of these events.

Local Charities will be beneficiaries of these events
