The 2011 Pirtek Fishing Challenge is open and taking registrations nationwide. The Challenge will take place on April 10 and registration is $20.
Every competitor will receive a brag mat and a limited edition cap and again, 100% of the entry fee will go directly to the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia.
This year is bigger and better than ever with two incredible prize draws and a total prize pool over $140,000.
Just for entering the Challenge anglers could win a Polycraft 4.8m boat with 75hp Evinrude E-Tec on an Oceanic Trailer. It’s complete with hydraulic steering, $2000 of Berkley fishing tackle, Lowrance electronics and a boat wrap from XFactor Signs, with an all-up value of $34,613.
Any Challenge entrant could also win a $1000 spending spree at BCF and one lucky winner (and friend) will fish the Challenge with ET and Guesty on Lake Macquarie.
All the information is available at www.pirtekfishingchallenge.com.au.
The new Murray Darling Basin category is designed to get western anglers fishing and there be two target species.
The Challenge on Sunday, April 10, will be between 6am and 6pm and each State’s target species will be revealed after 6pm on April 9 on www.pirtekfishingchallenge.com.au.
Competitors need to catch their State’s target species, photograph the fish on the Pirtek brag mat along with their registered angler number and send the photo into www.pirtekfishingchallenge.com.au. The idea is to catch, measure, photograph and let the fish go.
Each winning State target species is worth $4000 cash with great prize packs for second, third, fourth and junior first and second. – PirtekReads: 965
