ARB TowMaster Tow Bars
  |  First Published: November 2010

Anyone who tows a boat, caravan or camper trailer will know how important it is to have a properly set-up towbar. And when you’re taking the pride and joy car-and-trailer set-up off the road it’s even more important the towing package is right, which is where ARB come into the picture.

For years ARB have specialised in tow bar systems to suit a large range of four-wheel drive and commercial vehicles via the TowMaster Class 2 (standard) and Class 4 (heavy duty) models, all of which emphasise adequate ground clearance whether one is axle deep in mud, sand or just plain rough going.

TowMaster bars are designed and manufactured to comply with – and in many cases exceed – Australian Design Rules and Standards and throughout all stages of manufacture there’s strict compliance to specifications, dimensions, welding and paint quality. In fact randomly selected tow bars are cut up to check for correct weld penetration and strength.

While they are no more expensive than most standard tow bars, ARB’s TowMaster tow bars are routinely matched to a vehicle manufacturer’s specifications, and come with a few in-house modifications to make the unit just that little more practically enhanced.

A case in point is the tow bar fitted to the rear of the Nissan Navara, which includes a side protection bar, a rear checker plate step and in-built tow hooks to assist if bogged or in need of a tow. The unit is stylish, practical, and serves as more than just a tow bar to hitch the boat or camper trailer to.

ARB offer this particular style of tow bar with the additional step and side bars as being available for most modern styleside dual cab utilities which sees owners of vehicles like Hilux, Navara, Rodeo, Mazda BT50 and virtually all other similar models, well catered. For really heavy duty off road towing jobs, a stepped down tow tongue and tow ball set-up are part of the TowMaster range.

The fitting of a TowMaster bar at an ARB distribution point also involves heavy duty wiring and plugs installed as well.

It’s important to understand that ARB tailor their tow bars to work in harmony with other accessories such as water/fuel tanks and wheel carriers which reduces potentially costly fitment and functionality problems down the track.

Last but not least, these lifetime warranted products are supported by ARB’s national distribution network throughout Australia.
